Active School Week

Everybody had a fantastic time during Active School Week 2026. It was a week full of fun, participation, great atmosphere and activity. The weather was fantastic and added to the celebrations and fun outside. We had lots of fun activities with our walkway, buddy activities with younger classes pairing up with an older class, rounders, obstacle courses, nature walks and football. One of the highlights was our Zumba day. One of our parents, who is a trained Zumba instructor, came for a whole day and did a Zumba lesson with every class in the school. Our staff took on sixth class in a staff versus children Gaelic Football match. The students were victorious. Our staff took part in the Walkway Dingbat Challenge. They were very puzzled by the identity of some of the musicians. The children loved having active homework. The highlight for everyone was Our Whole School Macarena which we followed with a Mexican Wave and some spontaneous free dancing. The whole school gathered together in our new hall and the atmosphere was electric.
