Climb the Mountain Challenge
Ms Tallis' 5th class took on the Climb the Mountain Jumping Jacks challenge. On Tuesday we reached the top of Mulhacen in Spain which is 3,479 metres high and on Thursday we improved and reached the top of Grobglockner in Austria which is 3,798 metres high. Finally on Feel Good Friday we had a jersey day in aid of Enable Ireland and The National Rehabilitation Centre and to support one of our teachers Ms. Hanrick who was playing in the Leinster camogie clubs final. We jumped higher than any peak in Europe, reaching 6,971 metres as high as Unicorn Peak in Washington state.
Ms O Sheas class got very active and counted our jumps. With our combined result we would be able to climb Mont Blanc in France which is 4810 metres in height
Ms O'Shea's Class is really enjoying their Active School activities. Here are some photos of them taking an active break in the field and in their classroom
Ms Henderson's Class in the Climbing the Heights challenge did 2,931 jumping jacks!!
