Easter Raffle
Our annual Easter Raffle will take place on Wednesday March 25th just prior to the Easter holidays. The main prize this year is an iPad 2. The strength of this raffle every year is the volume of prizes on offer-usually at least 50! We rely on your generosity for donations of prizes. All items for the raffle can be dropped into the secretary at reception. Tickets will go out on sale on Monday March 9th.
Health Promoting School
A committee of staff, pupils and parents has now been formed. Thank you to the parent volunteers. Mr Crowley will be in touch with you regarding a meeting on Thursday this week.
The next step is to ask people for their views and thoughts on what is working well and what needs to be/ could be done in this area.
We would like to get parent views and thoughts. To facilitate this, a short questionnaire ”Health Survey for Parents” has been put up on the school website www.stcanices.net
Please fill in this questionnaire by Thursday if possible.
Book Fair
The annual Book Fair is in school at the moment. The classes are timetabled to attend at various times over the next three days. Parents are welcome to visit during the day also. Books are reasonable and there is a commission, in the form of credit in Khan’s Book Shop, for the school.
Credit Union Quiz
Hard luck to our Senior A team, Alexis, Chloe, Maeve and Shalom , who lost out on an All Ireland place in a tie breaker for second place in the Chapter Round of the Credit Union Quiz. They put in a great performance and represented us well. Thanks to Mrs Sheehan for co-ordinating our quiz teams and the monthly News Quiz.
Kilkenny Music Festival
Best of luck to all our pupils competing in the music festival next week.
There will be a second March Info sheet in a fortnight’s time.
