Your Support is Appreciated - All Proceeds to St Canice’s School Fund

The majority of Parent Teacher Meetings will be held on Thursday Nov. 28th. Pupils may be collected at 2.30pm on that day.

Unfortunately, Loreto rescheduled their Leaving Certificate Parent Teacher Meetings for tThursday afternoon also so there will be a lot of traffic up till 4.30pm. In order to accommodate our parents, we will open the security barrier at 2.15pm. Please park around the back of the school if you are attending meetings here, but remember that there will be children in the playground exiting the school and drive with due caution.

I am available to meet with parents on Thursday afternoon. I will put a time sheet on my door if you wish to book a slot or feel free to drop in.

Thank you to our SNA team who have put huge work into organising the Christmas Craft Fair which will take place in the foyer during the P/T afternoon.  Details in the accompanying flyer.

 Note from Parents’ Association

The Parents’ Association (P.A.) committee undertake activities during the school year which raise funds for the school, all members act on a voluntary basis and give up their own time to work on fundraising / school improvement activities, in order to help fund some of these activities we are asking parents to subscribe €5.00 (Five Euro) per household towards running these events.

To date the P.A. successfully organised, movie nights for the Children, produced and sold school calendars, the bi-annual Summer Fete, & tennis tournaments, to name a few. All funds raised from these events are used to benefit the school, e.g.  funding for interactive white boards in all classrooms, funding for the autism unit, generation of 6th Class year books & 5th Class safe cycling courses.

Parent / Teacher meetings are being held next Thursday November 28th in the school, we will have a stand within the school from 2:45 to 5:30 on the day to collect the fees and cover any queries you may have in connection with the work that the P.A. undertake during the year.
