v Windgap in James' Park

We entertained Windgap today in James' Park in our third Roinn E match of the season. On a chilly evening, we came out second best to a very fine side from the west country. We actually had two teams on standby- our Roinn E and our Roinn C squads. For the first half we had the advantage of the wind but found it hard to penetrate the Windgap defence.
We played our older and stronger lads for the second period, and a very competitive contest ensued : the sides finished level for the period??
We have one more outing in the Roinn E, away to Johnstown, while our Roinn D hurlers travel to Larchfield tomorrow to take on Gaelscoil in a crucial League match.
