School Carol Service
All parents and friends are invited to our annual Carol Service in the hall on Thursday 21st at 1pm. All classes and children take part. As usual, as part of our preparation for our carol service, we are collecting non-perishable food items for the needy. We are building a “FOOD MOUNTAIN” in the foyer. Items will be collected from classes every day until Wednesday and then the food will be sent to the local St. Vincent de Paul Society. Thanks to Ms O’Brien for her work in organising this event.
Christmas PlaysChristmas Play Season is in full swing. If you are coming in to your child’s play please use the entrance door nearest the class room and not the front entrance. Many of these plays are quite short so you need to be on time! Thanks to teachers, children and parents for their hard work in preparing and staging these plays.
Watch Out For!
One of our 4th class pupils, Lucy O’Connell, is voicing Angela for Brown Bag's 30 minute CGI animation of Angela's Christmas adapted from the original story by Frank McCourt. It will show on RTE1 at 6.20pm on Christmas Eve. Well done Lucy. We look forward to hearing you.
OrchestraOrchestra breakfast takes place on Friday Dec 15th. This has become one of the most popular events in the school and is an important fundraiser for the music programme. Thanks to Shirley and the Music Committee for all their work during the year and particularly for this event.

- If weather conditions are bad enough at any stage to warrant a Met Eireann Status Red Alert the school will remain closed. An email will be sent out to parents, a notice put on the school website-www.stcanicesschool.ie and the information will be sent to KCLR .
