Narrow victory over Pats
14/5/2014
Canices 0-11. St. Pats. 1-6
Having lost two of our last three, it was important to get back to winning ways today, which we did with a narrow victory over local rivals, St. Pats in James Park.
It was a close match throughout, and we trailed by one at half time:-1-2 to 0-4. Their goal came from a well taken penalty, while three of our points came from Killian Hackett, and the other from James Carroll ( both in 4th!)
We levelled through Liam Moore early in the second half, but then fell 2 behind again. However, we did leave our best hurling till the end. 8 more points were scored, and we got 6 of them, from 4 different scorers.
Today's display was a step in the right direction. There was more determination on show, and a better effort to move to the ball. We have much improvement to make to make progress in the knockout stages, but today was a start.

Today's star was Killian Hackett, well supported by Ronan, Luke, Liam, David and James. We play Castlecomer next week, and have a bye the following week.
