Charity Collection
* Our Mission Money collection is now called Charity Collection and takes place once a month.
Thanks to your generous donations last week €452.92 was raised for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
* The October collection will be on Friday 24th. It will go to our project in The Phillippines. Sr Helen Lenehan spoke to some of the classes recently and she will ensure that the money raised will go directly to where it is needed.
* We welcome any suggestions for our November collection so please let us know if there is a cause close to your heart.
Thank you to Ms Walsh for co-ordinating the Charity Collection.

She is leaving the job in the capable hands of Kate O’Connor, a past pupil, who is now a qualified primary and speech and drama teacher. Leaflets have been sent out. Classes will take place in the school on Wed. 3.45 to 4.30pm for pupils aged 6-11.
Contact Kate 0851142686 or email [email protected] for further information.
Music
Would your child like to play the drums, flute or clarinet?
The Music Programme still has 3 spaces left in the Kit Drum class with Eamon Cahill. If your child is in 4th-6th class, currently not playing a musical instrument, and would be interested in learning the drums, please email the music programme administrator Ruth Walsh at [email protected] as soon as possible. Classes are on Wednesdays from 5.10-5.40pm and the usual tuition fees will apply. There is also 1 space left in both beginner flute and beginner clarinet (in a shared class with 1 other child). Again if your child would like to play either of these instruments, and is in 3rd-6th class, please email Ruth at the above email address.
Parents’ Association
Following from the Junior Infant Parent night last Monday, it was suggested that I remind people that last year the Parents’ Association drew up a recommended policy for birthday parties in younger classes. It was agreed that life would be easier if parents were encouraged to put €5 in an envelope as a gift. This would cut out waste and undue expenditure. The parent hosting the party should put on the invite “Gifts in accordance with Parents’ Association policy”
I have attached a flier for a free Parents Plus Programme being held in the Fr McGrath Centre.
