v Carrickshock
C/D versus Carrickshock
It was a wet and windy afternoon in Carrickshock’s pitch in Hugginstown ( the home of hurling in Kilkenny). The Canice’s team fought hard throughout the first half but only led by 1-2 to 1-0 at half time despite playing with a strong breeze. We missed many chances during the opening half and things looked ominous for the 2nd period.
Surprisingly, we played much better against the elements and notched up a good 2nd half score while the ‘Shocks’ only registered a point.
All the Canice’s players gave their all during the game especially in that 2nd half. Particular mention goes to Aaron Duggan , Eoin Fennelly, Stephen Lennon , Shane Clohessy and Denis Hogan. All our subs contributed immensely to our win with a scoreline of 5-7 to 1-1.
