B1 James Park
Dunnamaggin 5-10 St. Canices B 2-4

In our opening game of the Roinn B season, our 30 young footballers put on a great show in James Park today. To accommodate all on today's panel, a different fifteen played each half. The talent on show was amazing, especially from a host of 4th class lads. The score difference was due to size and strength alone, but in terms of skill we were excellent.
In the "first game", we trailed at half time 3-2 to 1-2. This half was evenly contested. Dunnamaggin opened with a lucky goal, but a Paudie O Shea type run from rampant Rory O Connor, which ended with him scoring our first point of the season, set us going. When Peter Conroy goaled from another attack, we were back in the game. Niall Rowe scored a great point from a 45 just before half time.
Our younger second half team found it a little more difficult against the wind. But they never gave up and they finished really strongly. Eoin Dalton was brilliant. He scored 1-1 and assisted Aidan Kenny in his well kicked final point of the day.
We play KSP tomorrow. We hope for a win. Well done today to all, especially those making their school team's debut.
