FIRST COMMUNION PREPARATION MASS DATES

WEWELCOME to the second edition of the Communion Newsletter for Parents. We are introducing this Newsletter to keep you updated on what is happening in preparation for and during each Communion Mass over the coming months.
The next Communion preparation Mass will take place on Sunday, 12th February at 11:30am. Sacred Space - Your child will be asked to colour a picture in their Thumb Book. And also to write a resolution (a one liner on something nice / positive that they will commit to doing in preparation for their Holy Communion). This will be done in class and some pictures will be placed in the Sacred Space and others used as an Offertory gift. Please take some time to visit the space with your child before or after Mass. Fr. Peter or Fr. Jim will be the celebrant for this Mass and he may ask the children to join him on the altar at the Homily, but we ask that your child remain with you until called. The next Grapevine monthly newsletter will be distributed to each child next week at school. Please ask you child to bring the THUMB book to each of the remaining masses listed overleaf. No Further Choir Rehearsal Required in Parish Centre on Thursday evenings – There is no need for further Choir Rehearsal’s for the children who have volunteered for the choir as Children are now familiar with the Hymns First Confession will take place on Wednesday 8th March at 7:00pm. Volunteers - We are looking for additional parents to participate in the communion masses for the remainder of the year. This may involve a reading, reflection after communion, assistance with the choir etc. We are also in need of volunteers to play instruments to help the choir – this can be parents or older siblings.
