The St. Canices ‘B’ squad was beaten by Kilmacow on Wednesday evening in Kilmacow.
Although a closely fought battle in the first half Canices were outscored in the second. All the Canices players gave it their best. Andrew Campion on goal could be faulted for none of the goals.
The full back line fought bravely as did the half backs: Ian Boland , Rory Glynn and the ever improving W. Gaffney.
Our two mid fields ran themselves to a standstill and both scored very good points. Luke, Dennis and Nathan hurled well against strong half backs.
Our full forward line created many chances and all three were unlucky with fabulous goal attempts. Shane Clohosey scored a cracker!! When called our three subs gave a great effort but it was not to be our day.
When we let the ball into our forwards more spiritedly and quickly we will be more competitive in our upcoming games.
