v Slieverue
Canice’s v Slieverue
St. Canice’s drove about 45 km on our trip to Slieverue. Mr Crowley asked us to concentrate on showing enthuaism more than concentrating on a win, but after such a journey we were anxious to win the first game of this campaign
We started well for the first ten minutes, scoring 1-1 and matching Slieverue’s 1-1. The goal came from Ian McKeown and the point from a Hugh Walsh free. Then Slieverue got a goal and a point followed by a goal from James Murphy. Half time 2-2 to 2-1.
Slieverue came out with all guns blazing ion the second half, scoring goals and points freely. Luke O Hara kept St. Canice’s hopes alive with a nice tap in goal near the finish, but it was too little too late!!
